Nyack, July 6, 7:45p — According to an eyewitness account, a bear was seen crossing Midland Avenue just north of Nyack Hospital at around 7:35p Wed evening.
Nyack resident Roger S. Cohen saw the bear cross North Midland Avenue. “He seemed to lumber across the road and disappeared behind the Nyack Community Ambulance Corps building.” Cohen says there was police activity in the area shortly after he saw the bear.
