To launch the Hopper House’s Nyack WEEK En Plein Air, Bill Batson’s seemingly ubiquitous Flash Sketch Mob™ kicked things off with a day of creativity across the village.
Participants of all ages and skill levels set themselves up en plein air (the term for painting in the open air) and sought to reimagine Nyack through their own creative lens and hand.
Inspired by Edward Hopper, who responded artistically to his environment, you’ll sketch the village’s streetscapes, landmarks, and people while walking in his footsteps.
You can see the work of Batson’s Flash Sketch Mob on Saturday at 4:30pm at the Hopper House and then stay to celebrate Jill Hoy & Jon Imber “Side by Side” at Edward Hopper House and Hoy’s Narratives of Form & Color at Perry Lawson Fine Art at 90 North Broadway. Click here for more info.
