NY-Rockland and Westchester Wear Orange Bridge Lighting

Friday, June 6, 6:30 – 9:00pm, Memorial Park, 51 Piermont Ave, Nyack

The Mario M. Cuomo Bridge will shine orange in honor of gun violence survivors and the families of those we’ve lost.

Gather for a powerful evening of community, reflection, and purpose.

Bring a picnic, lawn chairs, and blankets as we gather for a program and watch the bridge light up during Wear Orange Weekend.

Let’s stand together and demand a future free from gun violence.

Firefighter’s Memorial Parade

Sunday, June 8, 9:00am, New St, Nyack

Parade steps off from New Street, Right onto Broadway, Main Street to Midland Ave, to Sickles Ave to the Firefighters Memorial at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Join in honoring the brave volunteer firefighters who put their lives on the line to protect our community—especially after their heroic response to the devastating fires at Nyack Plaza and Gedney St. this past Tuesday.

The parade honors the firefighters we have lost in the past year, so please line the streets respectfully to observe the solemn decorum of the procession that ends at Oak Hill Cemetery.

The parade is extends our deepest gratitude to all the Nyack Fire Department companies and to the 15 surrounding volunteer fire departments who responded with incredible courage and selflessness:

Rockland Pride Sunday

Sunday, June 8, 11:00am – 5:00pm (parade steps off at 11:15am), Downtown Nyack

Downtown Nyack will be full of Pride for this FREE, family-friendly event featuring music of David Budway and special guest performers, local drag artists, outdoor dining, shopping, and vendors!

FREE bounce house, face painting, and children’s activities offered at Nyack Center.

Nyack’s 15th Annual African American Day Parade and Festival

Saturday, June 14, 11:00am – 6:00pm, Memorial Park, 51 Piermont Ave, Nyack (parade begins at noon)

Parade Grand Marshalls are the Divine Nine, the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), a group of nine historically Black Greek-letter organizations. Fraternities: Alpha Phi Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Phi Beta Sigma, Iota Phi Theta. Sororities: Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Zeta Phi Beta, Sigma Gamma Rho.

Festival follows the parade in Memorial Park. Enjoy entertainment, vendors, food, and face painting
